Let the Manifesting Begin

Well, seeing as how life doesn't seem to want to take a backseat to fun (like that's really any surprise lol), I've decided to do something a little different. I'm part of this paranormal email list and a paranormal workshop list. I personally haven't had the opportunity to take part in a workshop yet since I just joined, but there are lots of archives for me to entertain myself with. The one of particular interest is the one about creating Manifestation Boards. What is a manifestation board you ask?? Weeeeeell....I'll tell you!

A manifestation board, to be completely basic, is a board on which you put pictures of your goals, or the goals that are most important to you at this point. A lot of the girls on the list have been having HUGE success with theirs, and it has inspired me to read the archives and create one of my own. After the last week of absolute negative energy and a major stomping by reality, I decided that I need something to focus my energy on, something that makes my goals a little more concrete. I'm kind of thinking of it has a cosmic To-Do list. I'll create my manifestation board based on what is most important to me at this moment. Right now I'm thinking financial stability (I don't want tons of money, just the ability to hang onto the savings we manage to put away!), I'll put on a picture of the Sudbury Police Service for good karma for Matt, and I think I'll also put on something health related so I can get myself back to normal. I'm certainly feeling a lot better, but not what I consider to be 100%. But for sure my biggest priorities are savings and matt's job. We're still trying to recuperate from my short stint in the world of the unemployed. I had a lot of savings built up and it just got destroyed. BUT! I'm feeling really good about this manifestation board, and I just keep getting this feeling that everything's going to be okay.....everything happens for a reason right?

Well, so far so good

The wedding plans have begun! It's a little overwhelming trying to think of all the things you need to have in place for a wedding. Invitations, hall, cake, catering, dj, dresses, suits, songs, centerpieces.....AHHHHHHhhh lol. It's all fun to think about and plan, but also very mind numbing! And when you're trying to do things on a budget, it's very easy to get carried away!

One thing that really made me excited was Matt told me that he's going to wear the suit I love so much! He showed me this picture of an old 30's style Martini Suit.....very slim-lined, tailored, pin-stripe suit. It's so sexy!! The first time I saw the picture of it I just whistled and said he'd look damn hot in it lol, because he definitely would. It's killer because he even wants to get a fedora to go with it hehehe. What's really awesome is that now I can go and choose a dress to compliment it. I was originally going to choose a dress to compliment the suit I THOUGHT he was going to wear. It was a double breasted suit, royal blue with black pants. I wasn't at all thrilled about it, but was caving because it is his wedding too, after all. But it turns out he was trying to surprise me with the Martini Suit. He had wanted me to walk down the aisle and be surprised to see him standing in the martini suit, but it was just getting too hard to keep secret so he let the cat out of the bag hehe. Not that I mind! Now I can pick a dress that better compliments what he'll be wearing :o).

We sat down and finalized the guest list today. Not bad, really. I was expecting to have 100, and we have 89. That makes me happy. The hall we want to have it at can only hold 120, so I didn't want any more than 100 guests, this works out perfectly. And of course, not all 89 are going to show up, so it should be a nice size wedding.

I bought some cute scrapbooking paper today to start on our wedding book. Matt's Aunt and Uncle got us a really nice scrapbook, tape, and pen for Christmas. The second I saw it I thought it would be ideal for a wedding book, so that's my task to keep me occupied until after the wedding and the honeymoon. I'm excited to work on it....but scared I'll screw it up! lol Ah well, it'll fun either way.

Matt and I have also been looking into honeymoon ideas. We're absolutely certain we're going to Hawaii, and we've found some incredible deals on expedia.ca. We're contemplating putting that as a gift idea with our invitations, so people can contribute to that, or they can check out our registries....we're not 100% decided yet. But, we have some time to think about it yet. Invites don't have to go out until around Jan of next year....even later really. Feb-March.

lol like I said....so much to think about! But, it's exciting all the same!! 499 days to go lol
