5 of Pentacles

This morning I drew the 5 of Pentacles for my tarot reading.

The 5 of Pentacles means:

In A Reading: Many 5s indicate change, challenge, and fluctuations (lucky or unlucky). They also indicate material prosperity but spiritual poverty if not properly balanced or understood.

Focus: The focus is on self-doubt or confusion; difficult dealings with others; unfortunate circumstaces with love, business or marriage; misfortune, suffering and loss; and upsets or pressures caused by someone or something.

Romance: You will long to be with the one your heart yearns fo...no other can take his/her place or fill the void.

The Home: You will fbe feeling discouraged or melancholy and in need of rest from mental or emotional stress.

Emotional State: You will be anxious, depressed, or filled with doubt and will feel inadequate, unconfident, or insecure; but a lot of what you're feeling is a direct result of being overtaxed (mentally or physically) and pushing yourself beyond your limits.

Pleasure: Your finances will improve, but your pleasure will be dimmed by hardships and suffereing.

Disappointment: You will be very sad that your love for someone is unrequited, or that you can't be together, and will wonder if it's because of a karmic debt or predetermined course. A mechanical breakdown or car accident could also be indicated.

Rewards/Gifts: You're going to get an unexpected financial surprise, or someone will shower you with gifts or money.

Special Guidance: Esoteric - You're in need of a spiritual transfusion. Platitudes and handout philosophies from your fellow man will not alleviate your despair. But this kind of suffering develops compassion, and spiritual deliverance must have an empty vessel to pour itself into before it can descend.

Best Course of Action: Drop any preconceived notions or expectations in romantic matters because your hopes will not be realized. Concentrate on business, trade, or commerce, because those areas will prosper.

Outcome: You will have to deal with uncomfortable issues whether you want to or not, but in times to come will realize that it was for the best or the only way you could have grown.

* By the way, I'm using the Egyptian Tarot for my readings, and I get all of my card meanings from "Tarot Made Easy" by Nancy Garen. It's a fantastic book, and it makes Tarot reading so much easier.
